With each client, I strive to build a trusted partnership through honesty, empathy and adaptive support. In therapy, I provide a safe place to explore difficulties, clarify patterns, and move towards greater well-being. Together we identify goals for therapy, and work strategically to build insight, reduce distress, and change unwanted patterns. I approach well-being from an Ecological Model perspective; and often use Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Motivational therapies in my work with clients. However, how therapy looks varies with each person based on their unique needs, cultural contexts, and current circumstances.
I often assist clients with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationships, focus/performance, existence/spirituality, academic/career development, and general well-being. I also frequently provide support for specific difficulties, including identity development (cultural/sexual/gender/etc.), processing grief, resolving trauma, and substance use.
