Depression

A person can struggle from depression as a result of many different life challenges such as separation or divorce, financial stress, health issues or major life transitions. Symptoms can be changes in sleep patterns and appetite, loss of interest in things that used to be pleasurable, difficulty concentrating and motivating, fatigue and feeling sad much of the time. People struggling with more severe depressions can have a hard time with simple every day tasks and coping with daily stressors can become overwhelming or even feel impossible. Because of this it is not uncommon for people to begin to isolate making them feel even more hopeless and lonely. Having a safe place, like therapy, to talk, explore one’s experience and learn ways to cope can be critical in finding new ways to move forward again.
