Infertility

Whatever stage you are in in the journey to become a parent having support that is outside one’s family and friends can be critical in navigating the extreme stress that is associated with infertility. Many people have a hard time talking about such an intimate part of their lives and so find themselves very isolated and overwhelmed. Infertility can affect all areas of one’s self and life and there is often a significant lack of knowledge by others about the all-consuming nature of this challenge. People struggling with infertility are often overwhelmed with loss(es), changing expectations and options, difficulty in making decisions, isolation, insensitivity of others, financial strain and feeling one’s life is on hold. Therapy can provide a safe place to talk and explore options without pressure, judgment or expectations.
